At Defants, a cutting-edge startup in Rennes, France, I’ve grown as a software engineer by tackling complex, innovative projects in the forensics and DFIR industry. As part of the Core Team, I’ve contributed to Defants AIR, a distributed and scalable forensics platform, while driving R&D initiatives from concept to completion.
Key Projects:
- Distributed Microservice Development: Built a scalable microservice integrated into Defants AIR, focusing on seamless system integration and performance optimization.
- Sub-Graph Analysis Algorithm: Implemented an advanced algorithm for IoB discovery within a semantic network, working with complex data structures and performance constraints.
- Rust Full-Text Binary Index: Designed an asynchronous, distributed index with a custom memory-mapped storage solution and Actix-based API, showcasing Rust’s capabilities for high-performance systems.
Skills and Growth:
- Mastery of Rust and Golang for building distributed systems.
- Expertise in distributed architecture and software design.
- Strong problem-solving skills in innovative and high-stakes contexts.
- Effective collaboration in cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects.
Defants has been a transformative experience, allowing me to deepen my technical expertise while contributing meaningfully to groundbreaking solutions. Every project has been a step forward in my journey as a skilled and confident software engineer.
